All electrical work that is being performed in conjunction with a building permit must be paid for as part of the building permit fee regardless of who will be performing the electrical work. A separate Electrical Permit Application (PDF) must be mailed or emailed to the wire inspector directly.
Section 4-2.6: Electrical Permit Fees
Existing:
- Minimum fee - $45
- Temporary service - $45
Alarm Systems:
- 1 to 5 units - $45
- 6 units and above each add - $5
Service charge:
- 100 and 200 amp - $45
- over 200 amp - $80
- Maintenance permit - $155
- Re-inspection fee, second one free, three or more - $65
Note: Fees for work done in conjunction with a building permit shall be included with the building permit. Such fees shall be thirty-five percent of the building permit fee, or forty-five dollars, whichever is greater.
